Summary:

The Engineer Data IV is a senior technical leader responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of advanced data solutions to support strategic business initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in data engineering, along with strong leadership skills to mentor team members, drive technical excellence, and ensure successful project delivery.


  • Proven track record of designing and implementing complex data solutions in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Deep expertise in data engineering methodologies, technologies, and best practices.

  • Experience with cloud platforms, big data technologies, and programming languages.

  • Experience with AWS – specific preference for Redshift, data pipeline, Python, DMS, Glue, S3s, etc.
  • Experience with Snowflake
  • Experience with relational databases (MSSQL, Postgres, etc.) and able to navigate, query, design, alter, and tune for performance.
  • Programming experience with command in at least two languages: SQL, Python, Java, R or Spark
  • Expert proficiency in SQL; experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience using Git, or a comparable code repository
  • Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional team; Active participation in sprint reviews
  • Solid background in Agile methodologies
  • Experience developing and maintaining data pipelines to process structured and semi-structured data
  • Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams
  • Flexible and adaptable with regard to learning and understanding new technologies
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in the field of work required.
  • 8 years’ experience designing, building, and testing ETL pipelines required. Including 4 years’ experience in one of the following domains: Data management, software engineering, I&O (infrastructure and operations); as well as data transformation & modeling required.

  • Partners closely with stakeholders to understand business and product data needs and collaborates with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and prioritize initiatives.
  • Develops interfaces between applications, databases, data assets, external partners, and third-party systems across cloud and on-premises platforms.
  • Leads the design, development, and optimization of scalable, high-performance data pipelines and ETL processes, ensuring data quality, reliability, and minimal technical debt.
  • Provides technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, driving best practices in data governance, integration, and performance optimization.
  • Oversees the integration of new technologies to support increasing data volume and complexity, and continuously evaluate emerging trends for innovation and process improvements.
  • Drives data engineering best practices, including governance, quality, and performance, while optimizing and maintaining scalable solutions to meet evolving business needs.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert on data architecture and engineering principles, providing guidance to stakeholders, and collaborating with data scientists and analysts to deliver actionable insights.
  • Leads the development and implementation of data governance policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Serves as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, communicating complex technical concepts.
