Location: Remote (Portugal-based) with occasional on-site visits to Lisbon and Africa

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer (MS BI) with over 4 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the Microsoft BI stack (SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI) and experience in leading teams and projects. This is a remote role, with the requirement to travel to Africa when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and design BI solutions that meet project needs.
• Lead the design and architecture of the solution using the full Microsoft BI stack.
• Manage teams and field operations, ensuring smooth implementation and project execution.
• Implement project requirements, including data analysis, ETL processes, and reporting.
• Develop use cases, acceptance criteria, and ensure solutions align with business objectives.
• Conduct quality assurance, continuous auditing, and improvement of BI solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.
  
  

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in similar roles, working with Microsoft BI technologies (SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI).
• Experience in requirement analysis, solution design, and project implementation.
• Proven experience in team leadership and managing field operations.
• Strong skills in designing use cases and setting acceptance criteria.
• Experience in quality assurance and continuous solution auditing.
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness to travel to Africa for project-related activities.
