The National Service Office is the central operational engine for two evidence-based programs: Nurse-Family Partnership and Child First. In 2020, what was formerly the National Service Office solely for Nurse-Family Partnership joined forces with Child First, a merger empowering two proven models to share complementary expertise, infrastructure and integrated services. The resulting unified entity works to ensure that healthcare, early childhood development, and the mental wellness of the entire family are served in proven ways to achieve long-term positive outcomes.

Position Description

The Data Engineer is responsible for the development and maintenance lifecycle of key applications developed for the organization’s enterprise, primarily focused on clinical and master data managed within our Azure Data Lake. The Data Engineer will work closely with technical product owners to facilitate data requests and insights. The position will also work closely with offshore and nearshore resources to ensure quality and accuracy of data deliverables and will participate in regular SCRUM ceremonies where needed.

This position is remote and can be located anywhere in the United States.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Execute on internal and external data extracts, integrations, and other forms of data exchange.
  • Provide advanced SQL creation in support of research, quality, and other support functions.
  • Oversee the SDLC for data driven initiatives and the deliverables from off-shore and near-shore 3rd party resources.
  • Design and develop database applications, procedures and supporting objects for our Data Lake, Data Pipelines and Data Quality systems.
  • Leverage Azure Data Factory for the design, development and maintenance of pipelines associated with the Data Lake and ETL processes.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience working with custom developed and third-party data systems.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience working with SQL and DML.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience working with formal software development lifecycles required.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working Azure Data Factory.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with agile frameworks required.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position reports to Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel and has no direct reports.

Salary
  • Salary is determined based on experience and skill set. Geographical adjustments will be considered.
  • Range: $75,000 - $100,000/year
