Team Introduction
We are building the central and unified authorization service at Bytedance. The services we build and support include
- Authorization Product, which provides the customer-facing interface that's used by all Bytedance employees daily.
- Authorization Backend, which provides the unified and central authorization capability at Bytedance
We have four major initiatives in our team:- Build the most secure, reliable and scalable infra that enables high-quality service.
- Enforce fine-grained access control to secure all Bytedance resources and assets.
- Provide intuitive, efficient and transparent access experience to our users.
- Govern the permissions with automation and tools that enforce the least-privileged access control.
Responsibilities:1. Work on internal risk management strategy: data mining of massive data and logs, utilizing rule/model/algorithm, building machine learning solutions, preventing and combating risks such as information security, privacy security, security defense, and anti-intrusion.
2. Combined with the business development direction, build a persistent, efficient, modular risk management system to reduce the risk control costs of new businesses, new problems and new cheating methods.
3. Enhance the overall competitiveness of the risk management solution in areas such as privacy compliance, machine learning, perception analysis, etc., and strengthen the defense depth.
Qualifications
Minimal Qualifications:- Background in computer science, statistics and related majors.
- 3 years of data mining and machine learning industry experience in related fields: search, recommendation, ads, security, anti-fraud, risk control, etc.
- Strong theoretical and practical background in machine learning. Utilize data and implement ML methods to solve real problems.
- Strong algorithm, engineering and system design skills.
- Strong communication initiative and skill.
Preferred qualifications
- Master's degree or above is preferred.
- Background in natural language processing , graph neural networks, semi-supervised/unsupervised learning, transformers, etc.
- Have publications in top conferences and journals, with research experience in botnets, crowd mining, risk control modeling, etc.
- Can maintain solid ownership in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $144000 - $329333 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
