Python / Snowflake / Data Engineer / SQL
Title: Lead Data Engineer
Salary: up to 95K + Industry leading pension contributions
Hybrid: 1 day per week in office (London)

Key Responsibilities
Data Migration and Development:
- Design, develop, test, document, and manage a variety of data migration processes to transition data from existing systems to new data infrastructures, specifically Snowflake and Segment.
Data Lifecycle Management
- Oversee the entire data lifecycle to ensure usability, enabling in-depth analysis and insights that drive informed business decisions.
Collaboration With Data Teams
- Work closely with Data Analysts and Scientists to create efficient and broadly applicable analytical data resources.
- Influence decision-makers by highlighting the commercial potential of effective data utilization.
People Management
- Lead and support a team of 3-5 Data Engineers.
- Address challenges and provide necessary support.
- Facilitate feedback exchange and establish plans for professional and career growth.
- Provide pastoral care and support the delivery of Team OKRs (Objectives and Key Results).
Consultation And Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a data consultant across Analytics, Tech, and Product teams.
- Develop workstreams in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Extensive Data Engineering Experience:
- Proven track record in data engineering roles, with substantial experience in leadership positions involving line management responsibilities.
Expertise In Snowflake
- In-depth experience with Snowflake, including performance optimization, cost management, and advanced features.
- Possession of a Snowflake certification (e.g., SnowPro Core) is .
Advanced SQL Proficiency
- Expertise in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL), with the ability to write and optimize complex queries.
Scalable Data Model Design
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing scalable data models for both relational and NoSQL databases.
