About The Role

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Data Analyst Intern to join our dynamic team. This role is an exciting opportunity to delve into the financial services industry, providing insights and supporting strategic decisions through data analysis. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, eager to learn, and passionate about transforming data into actionable intelligence. The successful candidate will work closely with our FP&A team to support various projects and initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL DO (in Descending Order Of Importance)

  • Assists in processing, cleansing, and analyzing data from various sources to support analytical projects.
  • Conducts preliminary analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within financial and member datasets.
  • Collaborates with senior data analysts and other team members to interpret data and develop clear, concise reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Assists in the preparation of presentations and reports for stakeholders.
  • Performs ad-hoc data analysis and reporting as needed.
  • Engages in the continuous learning of financial market principles and data analysis techniques to improve job performance and departmental contributions.
  • Performs other projects and/or duties as assigned by the Data Analytics team.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

Currently pursuing or recently graduated with an Associate's, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

Experience/Skills/Knowledge:

  • Basic understanding of statistical analysis, financial modeling, and data visualization techniques required. Experience with data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) preferred.
  • Must have familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently required.
  • Must have a strong service orientation in alignment with the credit union's mission and core values.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment request.
