The B2B Analytics team focuses on developing analytics solutions to help the organization make better data driven decisions. Our team is passionate about enabling others to use data and analysis to measure and monitor performance, identify risks and opportunities and find ways to continually add value.
This role will primarily support the B2B side of the business, which includes Risk and Compliance, Factiva, Newswires, B2B Sales, Marketing, Content Licensing and Finance; but may also include exposure to other areas of the business, such as Advertising and our Energy lines of business. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in developing datasets, dashboards and data solutions that drive core insights. This position will report to the Manager of B2B Analytics.
You Will
Develop Stakeholder Partnerships
- Develop strong partnerships with Product Proposition, Product Management, Marketing, B2B Sales, Content Licensing, Finance, Data Collection, Data Engineering and other B2B Stakeholder Business teams and work across all levels and areas of the organization.
- Executie data project roadmaps based on the B2B Business teams’ priorities.
Understand B2B Data
- Build a thorough understanding of all the B2B data sources that we leverage in our Analysis projects
- Partner with data engineers and data collection colleagues to collect, cleanse and consistently organize data.
Conduct Analysis, Create Dashboards, Improve Processes & Ensure Quality
- Analyze large datasets to surface trends and deliver recommendations with tangible business outcomes.
- Create intuitive reports, dashboards and data solutions using visualization tools (e.g. Tableau)
- Continuously identify ways to improve and streamline processes around data and reporting
- Ensure the quality of data and reporting, and partner with teams to improve accuracy and consistency
Clearly Communicate
- Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
You Have
- Team oriented and collaborative with eagerness to help others, and aspiration to be challenged and learn
- Self starter able to work independently, coordinate with multiple partners and complete projects start to finish
- Detail oriented with focus on assuring quality, consistency and accuracy in data and processes
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent in combination of training and experience, preferably in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related disciplines.
- Experience working with large datasets in a fast-paced and fluid environment with the ability to understand and solve complex non-routine problems.
- Experience with data visualizations tools and techniques, and using data to tell a story (e.g. Tableau, Looker)
- Extensive experience with SQL, and familiarity with Excel/Sheets, Github, Python/R
- Experience with ETL processes and cloud-based or traditional tools (AWS experience a plus)
