Overview of Position
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, self-learner to join our team as a Technical Business Analyst. The Technical BA/Data Analyst would support our project intake across the Enterprise. In addition, the role would coordinate visibility/transparency of dashboarding and metrics leveraging corporate tools.

This role will be an individual contributor role. He/she must demonstrate strong analytical skills, technical acumen, first-hand experience working in an Agile methodology, while collaborating with and achieving actionable results through others, building strong and sustainable relationships and interacting with all levels of the organization.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

The role will be 75% Data Analyst will apply data analysis techniques to analyze and synthesize data, construct data analytics processes.

  • Ability to apply statistical techniques to a variety of datasets and problems to provide meaningful insights.
  • Demonstrate good judgment and analytical skills to conduct open-ended analysis and present recommendations.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer relationship building, interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders.
  • High level of motivation to solve existing problems while anticipating new issues.
  • A highly driven, self-motivated, and a results-oriented individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced complex work environment with minimum guidance.

This role will be 25% Technical BA. Drive the early intake requirements process Business Unit (BU) Requestors seeking Core Technology Products and Services to support their needs. The incumbent will serve as a liaison between Core Technology and the BU through preliminary discussions and data collection to gather proper business & technical requirements, facilitate technical design huddles, and prepare all documentation to hand-off to later demand management phases and/or Agile Delivery Teams.

  • In collaboration with our Technical SMEs and the Demand Management Estimation Team, compile cost estimations including co-managing of standard component bundles and estimate pricing sheets.
  • Post estimate completion, monitoring of funding and resource allocation (including both internal and outsourcing).
  • Support effective decision-making through qualifying analysis using standard filtering tools based on business need, solution alignment, and capacity impact.
  • Ensure compliance of data/tools for accuracy of reporting
  • Propose and promote standards for how content is created, delivered, and maintained.
  • Proactively identify process improvements, determine root causes/road-blocks, and propose solutions to improve business processes and technology solutions. Handle complex escalations that might span across multiple business units and technical teams.
  • Assist with the development of processes, systems and tools to keep pace with our team’s growing and rapidly changing business needs.

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a technical business analyst role. Undergraduate degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge and experience in IT infrastructure and delivery on-prem and cloud.
  • 5+ years of functional experience within Information Technology managing complex and cross functional projects.
  • Ability to proactively drive and facilitate multiple incoming requests from various business unit channels.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail, the ability to work independently, adjust priorities, and work in a continuously changing environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially the ability to present complex business and technical information in a clear and concise manner. ·
  • Strong analytic skills and a demonstrated ability to build and manage various process models, business forecasting, analysis & filtering, and problem solving.
  • Technical knowledge in building Confluence Pages, Jira, Nintex Forms, Power BI/Spotfire/Splunk or related BI Tool, and MS Excel Spreadsheets (i.e. Macros, Filtering, Pivot Tables, vlookups, formulas, etc…).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills ·
  • Strong communication skills (writing, speaking, presenting) ·
  • Ability to work with disparate teams virtually ·
  • The ideal candidate would have direct exposure to Agile ·
  • Must have a strong business acumen, as well as technical acumen. · Experience with processes and requirements gathering ·
  • Experience working with tools such as Clarity, Jira, Confluence a plus
