About You And This Role

You have that rare ability to bridge two worlds, the human and the technical. You can draw out complex ideas from stakeholders and distill them into achievable goals. You have strong business acumen and can understand the synergy between requirements and test plans and are experienced in driving product improvements from requirements gathering till completion. Key Objectives

  • Empower teams to track and analyze their activity/productivity and support their research projects leading the efforts towards building scalable self-service tools that enable them to make data driven decisions.
  • Identify and prepare relevant data and insights to support Business decisions with our leadership teams across cross functional departments.
  • Support teams to understand where we are successful and help others learn how to leverage this success.
  • Foster a culture of measurement, metrics and experimentation specifically within, but not limited to our Product, Support, Sales & Marketing Ops teams by establishing robust monitoring of our OKR’s and KPI’s.
  • Data doesn't just appear overnight, we work with our stakeholders to understand what data matters most to their business and strategy. This role will be responsible for liaising with them to proactively identify what data we need to begin to record for future initiatives that drive value.
  • Communicate conclusions to technical and non-technical audiences across multiple teams.
  • Enable your stakeholders ( through your data visualizations) to understand the impact/consequence of certain activity tasks. Eg. doubling sales calls earlier in the funnel, what sort of impact will this have?
  • Collaborate with the rest of the BI team and utilize our data platform, share best practices and connect the dots across data sets of different tools and departments.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers and development teams for release planning.
  • Support the further improvement of our data structures and data quality by keeping a close loop with our data engineering team.
  • Train and support the development of new analysts in your domain. Enable them to be successful by mentoring on both their tech and business acumen.
  • Provide authoritative advice on structuring, executing and measuring test-and-learn experiments to grow engagement and revenue.
  • Independently extract and integrate data from multiple data sources (including writing complex SQL queries) to support analytical efforts.
  • Drive the exploration and creative ways to use new measurement to identify patterns and causal relationships.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Business Analysis/Product Owner experience in a fast moving agile environment
  • Experience in working with multiple stakeholders and prioritizing competing requests.
  • Excellent decision-making, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player, with strong interpersonal skills and skilled in developing collaborative relationships.
  • Self-starter, quick learner, detail-oriented and proactive in completing responsibilities.
  • Experience mentoring and enabling others around you to be more successful
  • Experience rolling out BI tools/metrics at a global level managing relationships with cross functional teams
  • Strong proficiency in Sql
  • Experience using R, Tableau or other BI/Reporting tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or 5+ years of equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with JIRA.
