Position Summary
Within the data engineering department (“Analytics & Behavior Change”), you’ll have the opportunity to drive the next level of Medicare product and service quality and member experience at a leading national B2C healthcare brand. We’re looking for aspiring data enthusiasts to drive member engagement and behavior change in Aetna’s Medicare Business, using advanced analytics, predictive modeling, segmentation, and statistics that leverage business acumen and good data storytelling to help Aetna improve member well-being and its product and services.
Medicare Consumer Analytics is one of the largest teams within the Analytics & Behavior Change department’s Consumer Analytics organization. The team is organized by business-aligned verticals – Medicare STARS, Revenue Integrity, Duals COE, Foundational Journeys, CVS Activation, Optimization & Rewards
This role is within the Medicare Rewards, which is a incentive program for Medicare, Medicaid members for engaging in healthy care options throughout their plan year.
As a Data Engineer, you will collaborate and communicate with business owners, team members and IT stakeholders. You will build next-generation data products GCP. The goal is to deliver data products from proof of concept to scalable solutions based on business priorities and impact.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of cloud computing (GCP, Azure, AWS).
- 4 to 5 year of programming experience with Python, Spark.
- Working knowledge of Databases (Transactional, OLAP, GCP Native – Big Query).
- Experience writing complex pipelines using Python, SQL and cloud native services.
- Working experience with multiple file formats (XML, JSON, YAML, CSV)
- Understanding of architecture best practices to enable scalable solutions for data engineering pipelines
- Ability to work collaboratively in a highly matrixed environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- GCP certification.
- Working knowledge of CICD pipeline.
- Knowledge ML models.
- Knowledge of different API’s
- Medicare domain knowledge
Education
BS with quantitative major (math, stats, CS, biostats) with 5 years’ work experience
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$106,605.00 - $206,000.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
