We are seeking a highly experienced Data Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Airflow PySpark Python and AWS Services. The Technical Lead will play a crucial role in driving technical excellence and innovation within the team ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of complex data pipelines using Airflow PySpark and Python.
  • Oversee the development and deployment of scalable AWS services to support data processing and analytics.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Ensure the quality and performance of data solutions through rigorous testing and optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in data engineering practices tools and processes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data solutions including design specifications and operational procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies incorporating relevant advancements into the teams work.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Implement best practices for data security and compliance ensuring the protection of sensitive information.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of data initiatives aligning with the companys goals and objectives.
  • Support the professional growth and development of team members through regular feedback and training opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Possess extensive experience in designing and implementing data pipelines using Airflow PySpark and Python.
  • Demonstrate strong expertise in deploying and managing AWS services for data processing and analytics.
  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Show proficiency in optimizing data solutions for performance and scalability.
  • Have a solid understanding of data security and compliance best practices.
  • Display strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Hold a relevant certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Big Data Specialty.

The annual salary for this position is between $[125,000 – 135,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
