An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a Data Engineering Developerin the Service Improvement Unit in Carmarthen.

What you will be doing?

To support the delivery of efficient and high-quality business intelligence solutions through the construction and development of reliable and accurate data products and services. To assist in providing a single source of data that enables the timely production of management information across the organisation.

  • To contribute to the creation, maintenance and administration of a cloud-based (Microsoft AZURE) data warehouse, enabling the creation of Business Intelligence solutions that deliver efficient and accurate performance monitoring and reporting.
  • To undertake work on all aspects of the development of robust data pipelines that integrate, consolidate and cleanse information from disparate source systems for inclusion in the data warehouse.
  • To support the Business Intelligence Manager to provide expert and creative solutions that maximise automation opportunities and make best use of available technology to ensure the efficient and effective use of force resources (Power Automate, Power BI, Machine Learning, etc.)

Agile post

This role has been determined as an agile working post at Dyfed-Powys Police and can accommodate home working or working from another local police station. You won't be able to always work from home - this is to support wellbeing and maintain team spirit, as well as attend your workplace for meetings, training and events as required by your line manager. Alternatively, you can choose to work from Police Headquarters (contractual base) if this is your preference.
