Hallmark Enterprise Operations is the organization within Hallmark Technology that is responsible for:

  • Building Technology solutions that provide business portfolios from Creative, Planning, Manufacturing, Order Fulfillment, Finance and more.
  • Developing cloud-first platforms that provide capabilities and services.
  • Building, securing, and operating a blend of internally developed and 3rd party software for Hallmark core processes.
  • Scaling development capabilities to build for Hallmark’s future As a member of Hallmark Tech, you will partner with high functioning, high energy teams of cross-functional disciplines to deliver critical capabilities to Hallmark business areas.

WHAT YOUR ROLE ENTAILS AND HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE

  • Development in AWS Cloud using Apache Spark, PySpark on an AWS environment.
  • Design and implement the data pipelines and transformations necessary for our new development.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of data used by performing data quality measurement and analysis.
  • Strengthens data engineering and data analytics services on our platform.
  • With a focus on the consumer, assist Hallmark in building best practices in AWS cloud-based solutions, including migrating existing solutions and processes to the cloud.
  • Involved in building a mindshare and broad use of continuous integration, deployment, and process automation within Hallmark.
  • Combine technology and design to scalable and robust data solution that power the microservices and applications for Hallmark’s consumers.
  • Work closely with application developers, architects, and engineers to ensure that we produce high-quality code and infrastructure.
  • Maintain the high quality of our data pipelines in production, ensuring data quality and performance.
  • Develop strategies, standards, and best practices for data ingestion and integration.
  • Work on integrations with other internal and external teams.
  • Participate in creating and clarifying User Stories, and in planning Sprints.
  • Conduct innovative technology research, concept specification and design of the individual software components to stay current with rapidly developing data technologies and tools.
  • Shares knowledge with other DCOE developers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related plus 5 years’ of progressive experience as a Data Software Engineer or related position.
  • 5 years of SQL development experience, utilizing MySQL in AWS RDS or AWS Aurora datastores.
  • 5+ years following the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes, using git and Gitlab for version control.
  • 3+ years of experience crafting ETL jobs utilizing PySpark and Apache Spark’s distributed computing capabilities.
  • Experience with DLM and Enterprise Platforms for managing data movement.

*** The position is fully remote, and the employee may live anywhere in the United States.


ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • This is a progressive role that will be filled at the level based on the skills and experience of the selected candidate.
  • Rate of Pay: From $133,078 per year. This amount meets or exceeds the prevailing wage as determined by the U. S. Department of Labor.
