Lead Data Engineer

A local proprietary Algo-trading firm in Singapore is looking to bring a lead data engineer into their well-established engineering team to head the development of the firm’s data ecosystem – the success of which will have a far-reaching impact on the business.

You will be given free rein over the tech you want to use and be trusted to steer the platform in the right direction. You will of course manage a group of developers based both in Singapore and overseas; mentoring them and supporting their growth throughout

Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience as a data engineer (designing and supporting ETL pipelines)
• Extensive experience in SQL and database technology.
• A strong understanding of either Python, C++, or Java.
• Solid technical leadership qualities.
• Domain knowledge in buy-side trading is beneficial, but not essential.
• Cloud platform experience is also beneficial (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure).
