We are looking for a Healthcare Researcher & Data Analyst to join our Life Science & Healthcare (Infectious, Niche, Rare Disease) therapy group in Barcelona.

The role comprises three broad functions: 1) market research and insights generation; 2) project management and execution; and 3) client service.

You will contribute Infectious, Niche, Rare Disease therapeutic expertise and translate market research data into high-quality syndicated and custom insights to our global pharmaceutical customers. About You – Experience, Education, Skills, And Accomplishments

  • PhD in a Life Sciences or related discipline is required, focus on Infectious, Niche, Rare Disease is preferred.
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of the Infectious, Niche, Rare Disease field is required; familiarity with clinical drug development, commercialization processes, regulatory hurdles and access is desired.
  • Ability to interpret data and insights and turn into compelling, quality narratives through a commercial lens is required, with excellent attention to detail.

  • Excellent project management skills (ability to handle multiple projects/tasks for self and to manage competing priorities to deadlines); shows autonomy with minimal oversight.
  • Demonstrated ability in problem solving, decision making and using sound judgement aligned with team and company’s business objectives.
  • Comfortable in handling large datasets and information from multiple sources; comfort in ambiguity with ability to develop rational evidence-based arguments.
  • Outstanding communication skills (written, presentation, oral) with ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and objectively in both written and spoken English.
  • Strong interest in engaging with customers to solve their business needs.
  • Has a flexible, collaborative approach to work; exudes positivity and ‘can do’ attitude.

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Build and apply a strong understanding of disease-specific insights, including the dynamics of oncology Infectious, Niche and/or Rare disease markets, regulatory and commercial aspects of drug development and the wider pharmaceutical industry.
  • Critically analyze data from multiple sources (e.g., clinical trial data, commercial information, market research data) to evaluate market trends, competitive dynamics, assess opportunities and build forecasts.
  • Conduct primary market research via interviews and surveys with medical and healthcare experts in the oncology Infecious, Niche, Rare disease field, and secondary market research.
  • Write and produce high-quality syndicated (and custom) content independently or in collaboration with team members with minimal supervision, adhering to product specifications and timelines.
  • Communicate concisely and effectively disease-specific insights through multiple formats (e.g., business writing, slide decks, live presentations).
  • Field customer inquiries and ad hoc requests (internal and external) to high standard, showing strong grasp of complex clinical and commercial issues.
  • Interact effectively and efficiently with multiple stakeholders across the business (e.g., Commercial, Epidemiology, Support Services).

Hours of Work

This is a permanent full-time position at 40 hours a week (35 hours during July and August). The position is hybrid going to our office in Barcelona (next to Sagrada Familia) 2-3 times per week.
