  • Clerk Grade 9/10 Salary ($120,859 - $133,183) plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our team and drive impactful agency initiatives through comprehensive data reporting and innovative analytics strategies.

In This Role, You Will

  • Design and develop processes for data ingestion and transformation, creating a unified source of truth for accurate reporting and insights.
  • Produce a range of data sets, dashboards, and reports to guide decision-making and influence agency priorities, strategies, and policy initiatives.
  • Engage proactively with stakeholders across Government Data and Analytics agencies and internal teams to develop robust data-driven strategies and business cases.
  • Analyse business system risk data to identify trends, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to establish a reporting framework that aligns with user and operational needs.
  • Support projects through detailed analysis, impact assessments, testing, training, and business transitions, proposing effective solutions.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, working closely with stakeholders to evaluate and report on potential changes and implement systems modifications.
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics, methods, and targets, documenting processes to support ongoing business improvement.

About You

You are an experienced data professional with a strong background in Data Warehouse design and development. You bring expertise in creating and managing dashboards using visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik Sense, particularly within cloud computing environments.

To Thrive In This Role, You Will Have

  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualisation, with a track record of working on complex data projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders and translate business needs into data-driven strategies and solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Experience in establishing and leading process improvement initiatives and maintaining performance metrics.

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, data analytics, or equivalent data analytics knowledge and experience.

About The Agency

The NSW Reconstruction Authority (the Authority) is a statutory corporation within Planning, Housing and Infrastructure. The Authority will improve how NSW plans for disasters and help communities to recover from them faster.

To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, NGOs, businesses, and government. When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities, and other stakeholders.
