Data Scientist

As a result of our rapid international growth and multiple secured funding rounds, we are now expanding the team and looking for Data Scientists to help us become the leaders in #teltech globally!

Your Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist, you will work in a cross-functional team of skilled engineers, with modern architecture and technology. Depending on your skillset (and interest), you could either be responsible for building and developing our BI & insights tools to allow our customers to better understand their data - or focus on our data migration and system controls and be integrally involved in meeting our challenge to maintain high-quality data as we continue to scale our product.

To succeed in this role, you need to be an analytical and relationship-building problem solver, who is responsive to our customer's expectations but at the same time dares to question and challenge so that the end solution will be the very best.

Among other things, you will:

• Develop and maintain robust BI solutions, including data pipelines and databases.
• Develop and optimize ETL processes for efficient data collection, transformation and loading.
• Design and execute test cases, identify and report defects, and verify bug fixes.
• Work closely with our client's teams to understand their specific needs and design customized data solutions.
• Explore and implement new technologies and tools to improve our data management and analytics capabilities.
  
  

What We Look For

• 3-5 years of experience working as a Data Scientist in a modern Tech organization.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, computer technology or related field.
• Strong understanding of SQL and comfortable reading and writing complex SQL queries ideally across multiple platforms.
• Knowledge of Python, and BI tools like PowerBI, Tableau, Quicksight, Qlik Sense and similar, would be beneficial.
• Experience with data modelling and ETL processes.
• Demonstrable experience working with data from a wide variety of data sources including different database platforms, flat files, APIs, and event-driven data feeds.
• Experience working with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and understandably communicate technical concepts.
• Attention to Detail, you need to have a keen eye for detail and be able to spot even minor discrepancies or irregularities in the system's behavior.
• You like to think outside the box and possess a can-do mentality.
• Autonomous, self-motivated, likes new challenges, and takes responsibility for your delivery.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and strong presentation abilities at all levels within an organization.
• A high level of proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• A passion for technology and a genuine interest in startups.
