Key Responsibilities
- Evolve data models and schemas to meet business and engineering requirements.
- Design, construct, and uphold robust data pipelines for processing and transforming data from various clinical and patient interaction sources.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists and business units to provide accurate and dependable data solutions.
- Develop and oversee data infrastructure, which includes databases, data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL processes.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of data throughout its lifecycle.
- Implement best practices in data modeling, database architecture, and analytics support to enhance reporting and machine learning applications.
- Document data engineering workflows and pipelines for clarity and consistency.
- Prepare datasets for visualization efforts with tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Keep abreast of industry advancements and emerging technologies in data engineering and healthcare analytics.
- Proficient in SQL with experience in large-scale databases and data warehouses.
- Familiar with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and data storage solutions (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).
- Skilled in programming languages such as Python or Scala for data processing tasks.
- Experience with ETL frameworks and tools like Apache Airflow or dbt.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong understanding of data governance, quality, and security best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a similar role.
