As a Data Scientist on our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, you'll have the unique opportunity to influence strategic decisions through your modeling and analysis of financial data. You'll collaborate with various teams, leveraging advanced technologies like AI and machine learning to innovate and improve our financial processes. This role offers continuous learning in a dynamic financial landscape, making it both challenging and rewarding.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop the data science practice within the FP&A team and Finance organization, with a focus on expense and revenue forecast modeling and analysis.
  • Act as the primary contact for FP&A data needs, defining data requirements to ensure completeness, accuracy, and enrichment of forecasts.
  • Measure the performance of business initiatives through programmatic data analysis and KPI tracking, providing insights into key drivers and related narrative.
  • Develop and maintain analytical tools and dashboards, leveraging new technologies and architectures with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the primary data scientist for machine learning and AI-generated forecasts, collaborating with data and systems architects and the head of FP&A.
  • Enable scenario analysis to simulate various business scenarios and their financial impacts to better inform forecasting strategies.
  • Work with the FP&A team to leverage generative AI for improved variance analysis, reporting workflows, and forecasting.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to the forecasting framework, identifying specific enhancements to data schemas and pipelines to support analytical objectives.
  • Partner with data scientists and data engineers across teams to ensure collaboration and consistency in applying best practices
  • Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in data science to continuously improve processes and techniques

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL and Python)
  • Experience with data visualization tools preferred (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing and ETL techniques
  • Experience with machine learning techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a customer-oriented mindset, to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Compensation: Salary Range: 175k - 225k, plus a discretionary bonus. The discretionary bonus will be dependent upon the individuals skills, experience, qualifications, and firm performance
