Internship - Data Scientist

The student, as part of the IT team and under the guidance of an assigned mentor, will be involved in developing AI/ML use cases in supporting our business function.

In your new role you will:

• Be involved to design and develop innovative data-driven solutions from idea to deployment, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business innovation
• Collect, process, and analyze datasets to develop and train machine learning models that solve complex problems
• Build and test Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) to rapidly validate ideas and iterate on solutions
• Improve existing machine learning models to drive continuous improvement and innovation
  
  

Internship learning outcomes:

• Understand how innovation projects contribute to corporate business process
• Gain hands-on exposure from Innovation use case
• Gain people and presentation skills through participation in discussions with internal stakeholders to effectively communicate innovative approach and solution
  
  

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Bachelor/Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related field
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch) and programming languages (e.g Python)
• Knowledge of web application design and development is a plus
• Optional knowledge of deployment to cloud-based platforms such as OpenShift
• Possess excellent problem-solving skills, motivated to learn and pick up new knowledge
