The Role
The Data Engineer is responsible for the creation and maintenance of ETL processes into and out of the data warehouse, data management and modelling, and Data as a Service product. This role requires the ability to think logically and critically to solve complex problems or build business rules using data. You will have an inquisitive, proactive nature and a real passion for data.
Practical experience with Python and SQL is essential for the role, as is a working knowledge of cloud computing and data warehousing concepts. A substantial portion of the role includes interacting with APIs, data pipeline creation, troubleshooting, data discovery, data modelling.
Key Responsibilities
Creation and maintenance of data pipelines from AdTech platforms
Data cleansing - troubleshooting, fixing errors and identifying discrepancies in data when onboarding new sources
Engaging with internal and external stakeholders
Working with BI Engineers and Data Scientists to confirm data quality
Query data using SQL including the creation of logical schemas and tables
Provide input to project planning, status, and review meetings
Mentor, grow and develop team members
Qualifications And Skills
3+ years’ experience in data engineering or equivalent role
Strong Python Skills With Proven Experience
Proven experience in building data warehouses and ETL workflows
Knowledge of cloud data warehousing
Experience with Airflow and Kubernetes
Experience with AWS & Snowflake
Experience with API’s
Experience manipulating and extracting data using SQL
CI/CD exposure such as GitHub actions, Docker commands, shell interaction
Ability to project manage and prioritise against multiple deadlines
Ability to work within a collaborative team environment is essential
Excellent presentation skills including the ability to communicate dashboard builds to non-technical audiences including clients and senior business leaders
Media agency experience is highly desirable
