Technology Team
Our culture of innovation and our strong ability to execute allows us to build products that can truly change the trajectory of someone’s life by allowing them to find the connection they are looking for. This translates to a very powerful, tech-enriching, and unique feeling we all share and are very proud of as Bumble engineers. You’ll find us working in London, Moscow and Barcelona.
Our tech was a paramount enabler all along and will keep serving us well as we move forward. We are on a safe path to diversify some of our tech stacks, transitioning to a more polyglot software engineering house that takes a best-in-class approach when it comes to provisioning solutions for the product domain we live in.
How we work
We’re heading into our next chapter with cross-functional delivery. Autonomous product-engineering units that deliver independently and provide their own roadmaps, while maintaining consistency on tech, quality and other non-functional aspects. We are a data-driven company and we enjoy empirical experimentation as a means to validate any intuition we may have before we commit and action. We do so to serve our customers better and to control the level of risk we may introduce as a result of feature changes, at any point in time.
Machine and deep learning are a key enabler to some of the problems we solve. We see machine learning as a strategic pillar that is essential to our growth and we improve our capabilities in this area as a matter of business-as-usual. Due to the sheer size of our platforms and customer base, the technical challenges we face are fascinating to deal with and require a great degree of passion, curiosity, teamwork and balance.
Bumble is looking for an ETL Data Engineer to participate in the development of the data-collecting and data-processing framework, services and tools for the cross-functional Data Platform department. Concretely, this means implementing, deploying and maintaining large scale data pipelines as well as internal data tools that help Bumble provide a safe and engaging experience for our users and improve the way Bumble operates.
With millions of images and messages exchanged on our platform every day, there is a wealth of opportunity to make a real difference in this role and help people to find love all over the world! The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen, experience in data pipelines, databases and development best-practices along with a passion for tech.
