Statistical Data Analyst to join our Global Data Modelling and Methodology Team. Based in Lisbon, Portugal this is an incredible opportunity to be part of our exciting vision for the future!
Role’s Mission
We’re currently looking for an experienced
Data Analyst to join our global Data Modelling and Methodology team engaged in delivering a key global big data processing platform for Worldpanel – a key element of our business strategy.
This is a Global role within our statistical methodology team. Expect to be dedicated to researching and developing statistic models to correct biases and weaknesses of our data panels (starting with our core take-home panels in Europe). You'll regularly interact with global and local data quality teams, local production teams, as well as the data product team.
This newly established role is mostly related to data calculation – meaning designing new measures and Everyday Analytics Solutions (EDA) to enhance the benefits of Prism Factory & MyWorldpanel* all over the world. Our principal goal is to ensure we move to and continue to develop a globally consistent model of efficient and robust methodologies for the aggregation of data to our clients and commercial teams, and in order to do so, you’ll be encouraged to maintain a highly effective collaboration with all the Worldpanel business across the world.

- MyWorldPanel is a Kantar cloud-based platform, currently being deployed worldwide, to provide the most intuitive and efficient way to analyze shopper's behaviour data.
Key outcomes
- Reporting to our Data Modelling and Methodology Director.
- Responsible for defining and maintaining a consistent set of standards for methodological approaches and best practice sampling techniques.
- Provide advice and consultancy on data methodology and sampling.
- Ensure consistency in data calculation across the globe and create convergence whenever needed.
- Responsible for methodologies specifications & testing (Measures&EDA).
- Collaborate with statistical & data quality teams, Development teams and the Platform owners Team to design improvements or new measures/EDA to MyWorldPanel.
- Work with central Quality and Advanced Analytics teams to ensure methodology consistency.
Key Capabilities
Your background will ideally look like this…
- University Degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree) in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent fields.
- Business proficiency in English (B2 Level Minimum required).
- Extensive applied understanding of statistical methods, data science and/or analytical modelling – with a broad knowledge base across the wider data analysis landscape.
- Previous considerable programming experience with R is required.
- Any knowledge or previous programming experience in Python although not required, would be appreciated.
- Prior working experience with panel, shopper or survey data would be advantageous.
