Platform Solution Architect

This position applies technical knowledge, analytical, and data management skills in a dynamic environment to support Thomson Reuters Data & Analytics DMSS Platform.

About The Role

In this opportunity as Sr. Data Engineer you will:

  • Participates in the analysis and design of complex system and database solutions and requirements definition.
  • Translates technical and business requirements into physical installations.
  • Determines practical solutions and obtains agreement to proposed solutions.
  • Documents information required for deployment in Operations.
  • Supports design and implementation of large or complex projects and solutions.
  • Works on multiple projects with varying levels of complexity.
  • Participates in team and client meetings as requested.
  • Evaluates corporate security and mitigates risks associated with confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Company’s information assets.
  • Reviews change management requests for security relevance and impact, and implements solutions as directed. Communicates needed changes and potential risks to development team.
  • Provides support for Implementation of the Business Continuity Program (BCP). Analyzes and reviews business unit continuity plans and processes to ensure plans are up-to-date and viable. Provides support to business units in their development of recovery strategies and plans.
  • Participates in the coordination, planning, and execution of information technology compliance and regulatory audits.
  • Supports implementation and maintenance of external and internal tools and applications.
  • Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution.
  • Assists with research and development of functional specification and system design as directed.
  • Delivers informative, well-organized presentations.
  • Completes work within department, company, and industry standards, methodologies, and policies.
  • Consistently delivers high-quality services to clients.
  • Assists in establishing new processes and procedures.
  • Researches, analyzes and resolves problems and issues with minimal supervision and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Resolves root cause of problems.
  • Provides wider feedback as requested.


About You

You're a fit for the role of Sr. Data Engineer if your background includes:

  • 5+ years of technical architecture, technical specifications experience.
  • 2+ years of data architecture (data modeling)
  • AWS knowledge
  • Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM)
  • Knowledge of data integration tools: Boomi, Informatica.
