Title: Tableau Developer

Location: USA (Remote)

Reports to: Senior Manager, Data Analytics – Valuation Services

The Role

As part of the Data Visualization and Quality Assurance team, the Data Analyst is responsible for creating and maintaining reports that drive data quality and analytics solutions for external customers and internal business users. The successful candidate will have a passion for data, an eye for detail, and skill in crafting effective visualizations. We focus on using the right tool for the job to gather and communicate insights and ensure our data is accurate.

The Impact

Our data products directly support the Data & Analytics division. Internal dashboards and processes enhance the functionality of other teams, while external products generate revenue and provide solutions for the automotive industry.

Responsibilities
  • Build, maintain, and iterate on Tableau data visualizations
  • Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, our product team, and internal customers to create analytic products
  • Analyze large amounts of data and build interactive visualizations to help drive business decisions and enhance QA processes
  • Develop, own, and enhance client facing dashboards
  • Collaborate cross functionally with other business units
  • Perform ad-hoc data analysis and reporting
Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Tableau Desktop
  • 2+ years of professional experience creating Tableau dashboards
  • 2+ years of experience with database software (RedShift, SQL, MYSQL, …)
  • Experience with statistical programming software (Python or R preferred)
  • Experience with publishing and maintaining workbooks on Tableau Server/Online
  • Proficiency with LOD, Calculated Fields, Table Calculations
  • Deep understanding of formatting in Tableau
  • Ability to translate product requirements into live dashboards and adapt to new requirements quickly
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Nice To Have
  • Experience working with automotive data
  • Proficiency with data oriented programming in Python (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, … )
  • Tableau Certification and/or Jedi skill level
  • Experience with Tableau Bridge and/or Tableau Server Administration
  • Some shareable Tableau Public examples of data visualizations you have created
