Data Engineer III wanted by Egencia LLC in Bellevue, WA. Designing data pipelines for near real time data flow; Making appropriate choices of technology for data pipelines and go through design review with the data engineering community; Implementing data pipelines for near real time data flow; Sharing learnings with the broader data engineering group; Participating in design reviews for other data engineers’ designs; Understanding existing data and data schemas and relationships between data that are used to support current business needs; Identifying new data sources for new business needs; Designing data models to support new business needs; Inputting new data model through data governance processes to get sign off from the data community; Implementing ETL/ELT to build new data sources; Working with frontend engineers to integrate new data sources into the client facing reporting functionality; Retrieving and analyzing data using SQL and other technologies; and Developing a deep understanding of vast data sources (existing in the cloud) and knowing exactly how, when, and which data to use to solve particular business problems.

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field plus five (5) years of experience in any occupation which includes the required experience/skills. Must have five (5) years of demonstrable experience with a programming or scripting language (any one or a combination of Python, Java, Scala or Ruby); four (4) years of experience with Agile methodologies (any one or a combination of Scrum, DevOps or CICD frameworks); four (4) years of experience leading data warehousing and analytics projects; four (4) years of experience using cloud technologies (any one or a combination of EMR, Lambda, EC2 or data pipelines); two (2) years of experience using big data technologies (any one or a combination of Spark or Presto); and two (2) years of experience using a dashboarding tool (any one or a combination of Tableau, Sisense or Power BI). May work from home within commuting distance to office. Salary range: $188,698-$203,000.
