Role Overview
You will join our 10-person engineering and product team. You will be the first dedicated machine learning engineer, though you are joining several backend engineers with machine learning backgrounds. Your work will be entirely focused on our internal LLM implementations: working on evaluation pipelines, fine-tuning, optimization, and performance. You will have real product ownership, and your work will directly shape the company. As a remote engineer, you will have wide autonomy and independence. This is a role with deep responsibility and impact.

Our Stack
- Python 3.8 + Django Backend
- Ubuntu on AWS
- PostgreSQL databases (pgvector extension)
- OpenAI APIs
- Frontend React/NextJs on Vercel
- Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, etc. or a related field
- At least one year of back-end programming experience in Python
- Familarity with machine learning topics and techniques
- You want to work in a fast-moving, high-growth startup environment
