Primary focus is to coordinate with Elkay’s Master Data Management initiatives in areas such as product and customer, within Elkay’s MDM framework. Drive data ownership and governance within the corporate MDM framework. Guide the creation of data definitions, standards, and processes to consistently address recurring product and costing data issues such as quality and consistency. Develop improvement processes, create tools and templates, and provide training related to data reporting. Work with IT to implement MDM initiatives in systems and applications. Provide direction and monitoring of work progress including status of agreed upon deliverables as well as:

  • Creation of strategies, architectures, templates, and tools to manage product and costing data.
    • Bills of Material
    • Bills of Operations
  • Development of policies, definitions, standards, and processes for costing data.
  • Responsible for managing compliance to policies, definitions, and standards.
  • Drive data change to correspond to master data strategies.
  • Develop and analyze data quality reports and track areas of non-compliance.
  • Drive correction action in areas of non-compliance.
  • Collaborate with IT Functional and Technical team members, including BI team, to implement master data initiatives.
  • Implement initiatives to further enhance/enrich completeness and value of Master Data.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis is required
  • Bachelor’s degree or greater is required; a degree in a technical area is preferred but not required.
  • 2+ years’ experience managing data management projects is preferred.
  • Technical experience in data analysis with SQL is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with the various business functions of the manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Experience with reporting in OBIEE, Discoverer, and Salesforce.com is preferred.
  • Competent in specialty but still building skills in area of specialty. Requires occasional guidance and review by supervisors/managers on complex problems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with business users, partners, and team members. Able to lead meetings and present in PowerPoint.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills and detail orientation are a must.
